
The Board of Control (BOC), located at Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington, DC, is the governing body of Coast Guard Mutual Assistance.
The members of the BOC include:
| The Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard, who serves as the Chairman of Coast Guard Mutual Assistance, along with Assistant Commandant for Human Resources (G-W) and the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard are ex officio members of the Board | ||
| Other members are elected to ensure the membership of the BOC represents all segments of the Coast Guard family | ||
| Members are generally elected from among individuals in the greater Washington, DC area | ||
