Contributing Stocks and Bonds

You can show your support of Coast Guard Mutual Assistance by contributing stocks and bonds.  Shares can delivered electronically or by mail.


Broker Transfer of Securities

Use the following information to have your broker electronically transfer DTC eligible securities to Coast Guard Mutual Assistance. Your broker must provide the contributor's name and address along with the name and number of each security transferred.

Online Transfer of Securities

Contributions of stocks and bonds to Coast Guard Mutual Assistance may be made via any browser supporting 128 bit secure protocol such as Netscape Navigator, Microsoft Internet Explorer, AOL, and others.  If your browser doesn't support this secure protocol, you will get an error message when trying to access the contribution form.  You will receive an online acknowledgement of your contribution as soon as it is received.

Online Stock Contribution Form

This is a secure form, and information you send will not be accessible to anyone else during transmission.  However, if you are not comfortable contributing electronically, you can still contribute securities to Coast Guard Mutual Assistance by mail.

You can mail your unendorsed certificates and a Stock Power Form, in separate envelopes, by registered mail, to:

A Stock Power Form is provided for your convenience.  This form is available in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format.   If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer, you may download it free by clicking here  Get Adobe Acrobat Reader.  You may use this form or your own letter to provide the contributor's name and address along with the name and number of each security transferred.

Stock Power Form

If you wish, you may complete the form online.  Once completed, the form may be printed and forwarded to CGMA.  You should also save a copy of the form for yourself.  If you do not wish to complete the form online, you may simply print the form, complete it manually and forward it to CGMA.


Contributions to Coast Guard Mutual Assistance, a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, are deductible for income and estate tax purposes.
